Blacktown City Council has released it’s Social Profile, providing a snapshot of the city’s current social situation.
The Blacktown City Social Profile 2016 is the result of extensive research, data collection, and consultations with residents and community members across the city, developed by Blacktown City Council in partnership with the community, government departments and local community organisations.
The profile outlines the major social issues facing Blacktown City and will inform the Council’s community strategic planning. It explores the key priority areas being the social gradient, stress, early life, social exclusion, work, unemployment, social support, addiction, food, transport and service development.
Blacktown City Social Profile 2016 provides an avenue to work with community from an evidence base of strengths and needs in order to enhance community wellbeing and identify the opportunities, facilities and services needed to assist local people achieve their full potential.
