The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is being introduced in stages across Australia.
The first stage of the NDIS in New South Wales (NSW) began in the Hunter area from 1 July 2013, then in the Nepean Blue Mountains area for children and young people under 18 years of age from 1 July 2015.
From 1 July 2016 the NDIS will begin to be available across other areas of NSW.
Visit the national NDIS website for more news, information and resources.
Once fully rolled out around 140,00 people in NSW will receive support under the NDIS. When and how people can enter the scheme can be a bit complicated, so the NSW government has created a new video to explain the important things you should know about how the NDIS will be rolled out in NSW.Button
Visit the NSW Government NDIS website to watch the video as well as access other useful information and resources regarding the rollout in NSW.
